2025 American Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Return To Birmingham
The American Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place once again at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Alabama, scheduled for February 28 to March 1, 2025. This marks the ninth consecutive year that the championship is held at this venue, having previously been located in New York for two years and not held in 2020 due to cancellations. The competition will be broadcasted live on ESPN+, featuring commentators Noah Frary and Kelly Burke, with Maria Trivelpiece as the reporter.
The South Florida Bulls men’s team aims to defend their title after dominating last year with a score of 156 points. They bring back key athletes including sprinters and field event competitors. On the women’s side, the Charlotte 49ers will look to repeat their inaugural championship win, having narrowly edged out Rice last year.
This season has seen multiple AAC records shattered, including those in the men’s 60-meter hurdles and the women’s 200-meter dash, reflecting a period of remarkable athletic prowess. Several athletes from the conference are also ranked among the top competitors nationally in various events, suggesting a strong showing at the championships ahead.
The detailed events schedule features a range of track and field competitions, ensuring an exciting two days filled with high-level performances and fierce rivalries as teams compete for the coveted AAC title.
